Can anybody help me?
I am 42 years old, female and I was diagnosed with PCOS per my doctor. Six years ago I got pregnant and had gestational diabetes. Since I delivered I've had awesome blood sugar results, and even stopped my glucophage at one point about 145 pounds or so. My weight loss stalled. Dr, endocrinologist, who firmly believes in lc, had me restart the glucophage 500 mg two tabs twice a day. That was my previous dose.
Hgb A1c 3/29/04 5.7
Hgb A1c 8/4/04 4.5 (I started lc ing 4/04 hence the drop)
Hgb A1c 3/31/05 4.7
Hgb A1c 9/1/05 4/9
Hgb A1c 8/22/06 5.0
Most recent cholesterol reading 11/24/07
Cholesterol 182
Triglycerides 154
HDL 34
LDL 117
Meds Glucophage 500 mg two tabs twice a day,
Avapro 150 mg daily
Wellbutrin SR 150 one tab twice a day
Crestor 40 mg daily
Lopid 600 mg twice a day
Chantix 1 mg twice a day
Magnesium 250 mg daily
Co-q 10 daily
I added Niacin regular flush kind two twice a day and this got my cholesterol to the levels above. Dr is ok with this.
I've been wonky lately as in terribly hungry at times, somewhat tired. Started rechecking my blood sugar repeatedly starting on the 13th or 14th. Can someone please check out my journal for numbers, sorry I don't want to retype and make this any longer than it is. Any suggestions welcomed. I don't care for the fasting blood sugars
By the way Monday thru Friday I wake up at 4:40 am. Monday and Friday I do an hour long spinning class. Tuesday and Thursday I do an hour long weight lifting class. Wed is generally 35 minutes on the elliptical and then some ab work.
Suggestions welcome.
