Reading what the ADA has to say about diabetes is like going through the looking glass. "Off with their heads" I say.

Her voice has critics, but I just noticed this TEDTalk has over 4 million views now! Dr. Phinney mentioned on a recent podcast that they have written up the TWO year results of her study, waiting for it to complete the peer-review process, and also noted it is getting easier to find journals willing to publish studies on LCHF. They also decided to go out to five years with her study.
Good Virta blog has other articles by her. https://blog.virtahealth.com

New podcast, latest updates on Virta: https://www.dietdoctor.com/diet-doc...-sarah-hallberg

One thing she said (and Amy Berger recently said the exact same) is that she wishes Time Restricted Eating would be used for periods less than a day and that Fasting or IF be used for multi-day periods of not eating. Virta does not support Fasting, as there are not enough evidence-based studies on the result of the protein restriction. But if their patients want to limit food to a short window or OMAD, they will support that.

TedTalk now has 4.245 million views!

I agree with the recommended terminology, as IF always meant to me to be equal to or more than 24 hours. Time Restricted Eating (much better than Feeding . . .) to me is an eating window within a day or 24-hour period.

Now to check out the latest updates . . .
