No change. I'm feeling a little dehydrated, so I think I'm just hanging on to water still. One morning this week I'm going to wake up to a big whoosh.

And there's the whoosh! Drank a ton of water and ginger tea yesterday and got up twice last night to pee. I was 213.8 on Friday morning last week, so down a lb. for the week makes sense. The rest was just water.

I realized yesterday that while I was away last weekend, I hardly drank any water compared to what I normally do. I think that's why I was holding on to it. Because otherwise, I didn't go hugely off plan. Sure, I had a 48g day and a 40g day, but I passed up the best waffles on the planet for breakfast and swapped out or skipped all the starchy sides. I confess, while I was trying to be calm about putting on 3 lbs., because it had to be water retention, it was still super frustrating. Because I thought I had been "good." I even walked at least a mile every day and got plenty of sleep. It's just a reminder to myself that next time I have a weekend away that there's more to staying on plan and staying healthy than skipping the carbs. And how important it is to do everything I'm doing all the time to meet my goals.

Didn't weigh in because I was up half the night getting water (combating ear infection). Tomorrow!

Congrats on the whoosh! And on controlling yourself on vacation. That will be a big challenge for me next month.

Stuck at 186. I think I have to give up the almonds, bummer.

No change for me today.

Sheila, are the almonds spiking your blood sugar or causing inflammation? Those would probably be the signs of a food sensitivity. Otherwise, it's probably just too many calories or carb creep. I often see people jump immediately to giving up a food group (nuts, dairy), when they're really just eating a little bit too much. This can especially be an issue for women, women of a certain age, very short women, and people very close to goal. Are you tracking your food intake? What does your data say? Once you determine exactly what might be causing you to sit at the same weight for four or five days (assuming it's not just your body being bull-headed, which is also a really good possibility), then you can give something up completely or maybe just makes a few small tweaks without giving up something you enjoy.

Yay, I am moving again! Thanks for the comments about almonds. I don’t think I need to give them up forever, just for right now as I was maybe dipping in the bag too much. They remind me of my old processed food in that they require no cooking and are very snacky. I’ll give them a week away and then see if I can be more regimented about them. I don’t want to be snacking between meals.
