this is such a wonderful thread. It is so encouraging. Makes me think of all the clothes that are in my closet that will one day fit again! Just the other day my hubby and I went fishing for the first time of the year on Saginaw Bay for walleye. I put on my insulated long johns...cause at this time of the year on the bay it can be cold out there. Anyway my long johns were loose in the butt. The last time I wore them they were tight. I've also noticed some of my tops are no longer tight.

Oh yea, I place 3rd in a 5K walk/run yesterday for women over 50. I wasn't even trying, but pretty cool. I got a t-shirt out of the deal. I only walked and the other two ran some or all of the 5K

We had a wedding to go to, so I pulled out a skirt my husband used to love. (I wore it the night we met. Well, the skirt waist is way too loose now! I couldn't wear it! LOL

So this morning I pulled out the size 10 jeans I was wearing before we met, and they fit comfortably!!

Might be an NSV, but I can't really tell. The tag on these jeans has been washed so many times the writing is gone. I don't even know what size they are! But judging by the squeeze, they are smaller than I should comfortably be wearing. And I'm wearing them anyway!

One thing I've noticed and I don't know if I like it or not but when I got fatter, I became almost invisible like men shutting the door in my fact etc....I'm married so I'm not looking for attention....
Yesterday when we were out eating I noticed these two men eating near us, only because when I got up to get a to-go box, both of their heads turned, "checking me out".
I'm not sure if that's a good thing or not.
It's takes some getting used to, again......

I've been expanding on these thoughts in my journal, but a considerable NSV in my case is the probable, horrible, state of my health had I not discovered low carbing, this board, and the wealth of health-promoting information and ideas therein.

I keep running into women my age; overweight, high blood pressure, diabetes, along with other health problems and taking fistfuls of pills every day. They are miserable and exhausted and depressed. And see no way out. The doctors give them no hope to better their situation.

I've got issues, but they are improving and so am I.

It is my imagination? I think my hair is growing faster! I've had verrry slow growing hair all my life, but I recall cutting bangs not that long ago, and now they are way down my face. My husband thinks I'm nuts for thinking this. Right now, my hair is longer than it ever has been in my life.

I totally see what you are talking about. When I see others my age (52) I am shocked! I feel very fortunate to be as healthy and "young" as I am, and to have discovered (hopefully) how to keep my health before I lost it. Not taking it for granted anymore!
