You're all amazing--and I don't throw that word around lightly! I mean, stand back and read these posts and think of all the good work that's been done here. Truly inspirational!

I'm at 49-pounds lost for the year I think, but I didn't really keep too many notes on specific dates. Confirmed 73-pound total loss for nearly 3 years.

To make it easy, say 49 for 2004 for Betty's Bodacious Booty (Betty Got Back)!

KEEP IT UP and KEEP IT OFF ya'll!!!

Lynda's 2004:

Reached goal on June 18th, 2004
Dec 31st was day 199 of successful maintenance.

In 2004 I logged 5,075,300 steps on my pedometer through daily exercise. That's 2,293.34 miles and burned 226,987 calories. Some of that (combined with keeping my food calories under control) helped me lose my extra weight. A lot of those exercise calories are what have allowed me to maintain my weight while eating 2600 calories per day for the past 6 months.

I met my goal of 10,000 steps per day 352/366 days. The last day I missed that goal was Feb 2, 2004.

This year, I intend to hit my 10,000 step goal every day, and have add an additional goal of daily music practice as well.

I'm almost 44 years old, and 2005 will be first time in about 30 years that I am confident that my weight will stay in a 5 lb range, my clothes will all be one size, my blood sugar will be stable, and I am perfectly happy with my weight. What a different way to start a year.

Wow! How impressive it is to see it all added up. I slacked off a bit the last 3 months or so and just maintained. But knowing I can maintain is awesome. I'm now back on on the losing track again.

Wow upthehill!! that is TERRIFIC!! I have been doing CAD for a week now and I am struggling a litte with the low carb meals?? Can anyone share their experiences? I know the book says eat only things 3 net carbs or less but I am finding it difficult... Any suggestions??
