Default soy vs. whey protein isloate

Hi, Karen! Need a little kitchen help. I've had a time finding whey protein isolate but I have a nice container of the soy variety. Most days, I'm willing to swap out ingredients if I don't have exactly what I need. But will one work in place of the other in a couple of the recipes in the book that call for specifically the whey variety?? Thanks!

It will work, but the soy isolate will make the finished product a little dry. Don't use it in anything that is not baked because it probably won't work.

FYI, Designer brand and NRG brand both are whey protein isolate with no soy, and can often be had unflavored or 'natural'. Fairly common in health food stores and sports supplement type places in the US.

Hope this helps.
