Actually posting this for my mom, she is not very good with computers, so she hasnt been to the site.

She is 54 has 4 children , daughter 30, daughter 28, daughter 25(me), son 12.
She lives in Hampton , NH (i live in UK so can't help her work this forum, bit too far away)

I got her involved with LCing about April of this year, just before my wedding, she is down some but is stuck, she fell off the wagon and is having trouble getting back on (holiday stress!!!). Hard from across the atlantic for me to help her, was hoping maybe if you guys have a get together or something, I can let her know when it is and she could go meet other LCer's just like her.

Please keep me informed or e-mail her: sharelpersin~comcast.net

Thanks for the help

Meggen
(the GOOD daughter)

Hi everyone! As of yet, there haven't been any plans made for a December get together, it's hard to do with the holidays and the parties and such. But if there is one, we'll post it!

Hello fellow New Englanders Boy this string sure did get booted way down to the bottom.

Im not sure if anyone still remembers me, I used to post here way back, almost a yr ago now, but Ive been gone from these boards for a few months. I am back now.

ANyway the reason Im posting here is to get the word out about a little home business I am thinking of starting .

Back in June I had a friend who was extremly overweight.. I and so many people I know where having such good luck I told him about Atkins diet. There is just no reason to not be losing when its so easy with Atkins! He refused. His reason " I hate to cook. I never cook" As it turns out.. he had been living on his own for 8 yrs and had NEVER cooked for himself. He ordered out every single meal. I told him if he would try Atkins I would do all his cooking for him. That started my weekly then bi weekly cooking for him. Each week I would cook and freeze a weeks worth of meals for him. I would package them into individual meals and lable them with all the carb counts. All he had to do was pop the tupperware into the microwave or the food into the oven. Ive been doing it ever since and he has lost about 50 lbs.

I started thinking, I love cooking, I have the expertise in low carb and Atkins.. I have hundreds of recipes now, I wonder if I could make a viable business out of this. I have decided to try it. I will make it very customer friendsly and sit down with people to find out what they like and what their goals are and cook around those variables.

If anyone is interested or knows of someone who might be please let me know

Hey Jaden, that's a good idea you've got there. Best of luck getting it going! And of course I'll let you know if I hear of anybody looking for a service like yours I do vending, so you let me know of any monster companies that need vending machines

Yes, I've considered it, and will do it upon request, but obviously it's gonna be expensive. The machine we're placing next week is full of requests for low fat items.

Low carb gamers: I will be attending www.portconmaine.com and Lessara told me she would be able to attend also. Anyone else want to meet up there in June?

Hi All!
I live in Nashua, NH about a mile from Low Carb Heaven. I dont go there often, but it's awefully reassuring to have it so close. I work in Chestnut Hill, MA and there's a Whole Foods right on my drive home. There isn't a great health food store in Nashua, so I tend to stop there from time to time.

Just thought I'd say hi to my fellow New Englanders!
