Talking I made it to goal today! How did you reward yourself?

I am very excited to have made it to goal today!!!!

It is in large part due to the wonderful support and advice I have gotten from you maintainers.....so THANK YOU VERY MUCH for taking the time to mentor me, answer my questions, kick me in the butt when needed, etc. I will continue to be looking to you for the same as I work through learning how to maintain.

So did you reward yourself when you got to goal? If so how?

The first thing I thought of was having a yummy lc desert. Then thought better of that.....not a good idea to reward my weight loss with a treat....though I may still have one in a day or two.

I've thought of having my nails done (never done that), maybe a new kitchen gadget, nothing sounds exciting enough.....so I'm looking for some ideas. Keep in mind my budget is limited to maybe $50 or so.

I did go grocery shopping today and in celebration picked up a full price avocado, a full price artichoke and pork ribs.

Congratulations. That is wonderful. When I reached the first goal of 130 which I fully intended to be my goal, I had my long hair cut short and bought a new outfit. Then..I added more carbs in the form of Wasa crackers and had one with peanut butter for the next few days and added a couple of low carb muffins for my Sunday Breakfast.
I realized I wanted to lose more so I changed my stats to 120 and am halfway there. I kept the crackers and muffins in my diet though so losing is a bit slower now but I'm more satisfied with my diet.

First time around, back in '04, I went clothes shopping and bought form-fitting tops and skirts. Whooo! Talk about a new lease on life

I highly recommend a mani-pedi if you have never had one before! The two will run you under $50, even with a tip.

Enjoy...you have earned it

Most awesome! So thrilled for you!

I also congratulate you on thinking up a non-food treat! I would get something fabulous to wear and show off all that hard work.

Thanks everyone!

I'm leaning toward the mani-pedi, but four of my nails recently broke. I'm good on clothes for now as I just basically got a new wardrobe at beginning of summer....might need a few winter things though. hhhmmm......

Of course, some of the best things in the world don't cost that much... a walk in the woods, a visit to an art museum, a book you've been wanting to read and giving yourself the time to read it.

Are we so used to NOT having fun that we struggle to find ways to find it again? That is an excellent new quest to embark upon, then.

New lingerie. That's what I'm getting when I reach goal. Everything in the drawer with the exception of some stuff I've bought in the last 10lbs is going.

I think you should do something decadent for yourself. I like lingerie because if you regain the weight it won't fit - so something of an incentive.

Congratulations! That is so awesome. I like the lingerie idea too. lingerie and and manicure/pedicure. That would be sweet. Now you've got me thinking what will I do when I reach goal. I don't have a clue. Guess I'd better start thinking about it.

Freckles, even if your nails are broken, they can even them up, do your cuticles, etc., polish them - or even better than polish, GEL color. It's $12 more but lasts 2 weeks without chipping. Another alternative to polish is a "No-polish manicure, just buff". Any way you choose, you will look great

I like the throw-out-the-old, bring-in-the-new lingerie idea, too. Do you have a Maidenform outlet near you? They have matched sets, prints, etc, for below retail. Love.

That's a GREAT idea, Tara. Just say NO to droopy drawers!

Lingerie.

Throw everything out that is old, sprung, stained, and droopy.

Everyday put on something that fits, pretty, sexy, and FITS!
