Hey Kathy. Me and journals don't really get along all that well, so I have not posted for a long, long time!!! Glad you found out about the beer. I am not a beer fan, but I know there are a lot of people who like beer, so hopefully they will see this message and be able to hav eone once in awhile.

I got a flyer today advertising that a new low carb store was opening up in Dec. in Victoria. It said the location was to be announced, and it gave a phone # to phone for more info. I have not called the # But it is: 250-361-9922
It lists some of the stuff they will carry. Sauces, dressings, ketchup, pizza crusts,cereals, snacks, candy, bars, lots of baking mixes, and soup mixes etc.
I will watch for it.

What's the name of the new store? Did the flyer say?

Sorry, I should have said - It is called " Low Carb Grocer". I heard a rumor that it would be in the same , mallish area as Lifestyle Market. Just a rumor.

I was at Costco in Langford today, and I got 24 (16 oz ) bottles of Talking Rain, Carbonated Spring Water. It is sweetened with Splenda, and only has 1 carb!
The box had 4 flavours, and cost $17.99+ $1.20 for deposit. I am drinking the Orange/Mango now, and it is pretty good. Now - if I added some Rye, or Rum---

I tried the Labatts Sterling Beer 2.5 carbs, Very nice, a clean crisp taste, no after taste.

I went in to buy the new Sleemans but it was in 12 packs and Labatts was in 6's. I'll try Sleemans next time just will buy a few single bottles.
Bought it at the Goverment store OF course!!!
