Unhappy are nuts allowed on induction?

I'm worried....I'm on Day 4 of my induction and I had a handful of cashews at work today because I had read on here that nuts are okay, but now I'm wondering if that is after the induction period? Please help..have I blown it??? thanks

Firstlt, no you are not allowed nuts on induction and secondly I'm not so sure cashews are technically nuts. I think they are kegumes like peanuts.

When you come off induction you can treat yourself to some almonds, walnuts or Brazils from time to time - but go easy on them as they are all quite high in carbs compared with induction food.

You haven't 'blown it'. A pizza is blowing it! - not a few cashews!

Thumbs up

Thanks for the input! When I did my calculations on my FitDay the cashews put me over my carb limit -- I'm at 22 for the day...I skimped on dinner to 'make up' for the cashews. So tomorrow is a new day and I will be much more diligent. Thanks again, I am really thankful to have this site to keep me focused! Bye for now

hi,
i think that cashews are nuts ...99.9%sure. but they are one of the higher if not the highest carb nuts. ( they get grouped with peanuts(legumes) and pistachios alot because all three tend to be high in mold).

dont worry about the little slip...just get back on. it's a learning process!!
