Hello;
I have downloaded the pic, it shows in the editing portion of my control panel. However it does not show when I post. I used to have an avatar, but wanted to replace that with an actual pic. Can someone give me a step by step...appreciate in advance any help...

You need to make it smaller, I think. I use Photoshop to do that, but I think there are online sites now that will allow you to do it. I don't have any of those links, though. Sorry.

Unless the limits have been changed, your picture, if you want it to show under your UserID, should be 100 x100 pixels, or 19.5K, whichever is smaller. I'm sure a mod or someone will be able to tell you. There is information in the Comments Box and Technical Questions section, as well.

Here's a quick, simple site:

It resizes images, and gives you some simple choices for cropping (center, bottom right. etc). You save the avatar to your computer, then upload it here.

If you've got a Facebook account, that's another option. It lets you create profile pics from uploaded photos, and you can crop
them with its built-in editor.
