Default Peach Crumble w. flax--want your opinion?

I got the following recipe from http://www.lowcarbcentre.com/recipes.htm#dessert, because I love peaches. However, I don't really think you need the cream cheese with the peaches??? I believe I've made a similar recipe before, without the cream cheese (which I'm allergic to). Anyhow, I really LOVE the crumble part, the flax seed/almond.
So you think it should be fine w/o the cr. cheese?
Leigh

Default OK, I get the message

Don't know why everyone is so silent, (you hate it, right?) but on further study have decided to completely makeover this recipe, for less carbs and less Splenda
Sorry!

Hey there Data...I was checking out the recipe...looks good, it seems like the cream cheese is just for the crust.

One thing that I noticed about this site that one needs to consider is that they didn't cound the grams of carbs that splenda has.
There is a recipe that althought it has 1/2 cup of Splenda, it said zero carbs...NOT TRUE...that's like 8 carbs right there (I believe)....there is like .5 carbs per tablespoon of splends.

Hi. If you want more input on this recipe, make a post to the "Kitchen Help" forum. People who browse the recipe forums tend to just be looking for a recipe. The "kitchen whizzes" will see your question over in the "Kitchen Help" forum.

I've never made any cobler-type recipes, so I wouldn't know...

I don't eat peaches on my low carb diet, but I do allow myself some raspberries and the crumble topping would be delicious on that, I'm sure. Thanks for the suggestion.

Default thanks!

Thanks all for posting your tips and info.!

I have already made lots of changes to this recipe, and will post it after testing. Yes, it does seem like the cream cheese is optional.

That's a great tip, aabout the Kitchen Help section. I will post it there, too (maybe with my converted version.) I also thought of making it smaller since peaches are higher carb and flax meal expensive...

Thanks much,
Leigh
