Default Almond Flour for Fried Chicken Breading?

Can you use almond flour to bread chicken for frying?
Kinda sounds good, but I don't remember ever seeing a recipe for it. Hmmm....

A lot of people use it. They often mix it with some parmesan cheese to give it a little more flavor, I think. I haven't tried it myself, simply because I really prefer roasted chicken.

I use it for chicken, fish and mushrooms.

I buy bulk almonds and grind them in a coffee grinder. I add salt and pepper, garlic powder, and a tiny tiny pinch of baking powder. I would great and tastes amazing.

Yep.. I use almond meal to bread all of my frying stuff:
I mix 1 Egg to every ¼ Cup of Almond Meal and then add flavouring such as Cajun Spice. Crispy's up quite nicely. I in fact prefer it to flour breading now.

I love ground almonds for baking, but I don't like it as a cooked coating. Deep fried, it had a funky taste. If you use skin-on chicken pieces, they're good with no coating.

I agree with Kristine. I have tried chicken wings with cocnut flour and almond flour. It's a bit funky. And kinda leaves an oily feel/taste on your lips. So now I just fry the chicken wings plain or put seasonings ad a pat of butter on each and bake.

As far a chicken breast, I stll prefer porkrinds/seasonings/parmesan mixture.

I mix parmesan cheese, almond flour, salt, pepper and sometimes flax meal. Slice a boneless chicken breast into strips, dip in beaten egg then dredge in dry mixture. Fry until golden brown. It is delicious!
