Default Rogan and Kresser on Big Pharma

And other topics. What I find enlightening in this conversation is the observation by Kresser, "We have accepted chronic disease as normal because it's so common, but there's a really important difference between common and normal."

Also, Rogan's observation that when drug sales and marketing became the responsibility of ad agencies, they realized that it was far more profitable to sell prescriptions to healthy people. His riff on TV ads and the fun-loving actors portraying sufferers taking prescriptions is priceless. Good stuff here:

I found this very interesting (though long - which is why I prefer to read than listen; I could have read the transcript of the 45 minute talk in about half the time, or less - Still, that is beside the point). Was interested to hear, for the first time, of oral probiotics. I will be looking into this, and would be grateful for any first hand experience reports
