Default BFL BODY FOR LIFE : people doing it on atkins?

Hi,
I'm currently doing some researches about the BFL program.
I read the sticky about BFL threads here already, and printed lots of article on the bodyforlife site itself (that I haven't totally read yet).

I'm just concerned about one thing, as this program is totally different from atkins (you don't have to eat that much FAT), I'm kinda confused right now.

Do some people here do this program but stayed on atkins?

I would love to have your experience shared.

Thanks

You do NOT have to go by the BFL food program (called Food for Life) to do the exercise program. Many low carbers just do the strength training program. The BFL Food For Life plan is considered HIGH protein and MODERATE carbs.
You may want to add an EAS or BFL shake or bar once a day for the extra protein but you certainly don't have to.

Hi Marie, did you make the switch to BFL? I like the principles behind BFL for could never stick to the diet. I need a little fat to feel full I think. I want to start a heavier resistance (weight) training program like the high intensity of BFL, but I am worried that without the carbs I might be doing my body harm.

heavy resistance training on low/no carbs should be fine. Get plenty of protein and you'll have what you need to recover and gain some strength and size.

High rep training on the other hand might require a slight increase in carbs.

I did the BFL program a while back (like about 5 yrs ago) and I found that while the exercise was helping me, the fat free food tasted bad..

My question is though - If I do the BFL program with the cardio on just a meat and egg diet (or Atkins), what type of carbs should I eat - I don't think protein is going to get me through those very hard 20 mins!!

thanks,

Laura
