Took two nights off from walking. We shopped for paint, bedroom furniture and other household items the past two days. My knee couldn't take a walk at night on top of all that standing around.
Took it easy today so I could walk tonight.
Will walk for about 15 minites so I can sleep tonight without a ton of pain.

EDIT: Walked further than I planned!! Went up to the 3rd. night distance - two streets further. My knee was feeling pretty good up until then so I decided to go as far as I felt comfortable. It was very nice out - just drizzling and no wind. Can't believe this is January 1st. and my pansies are just flowering like crazy. My mailman even commented on them (ha, ha).
Hope the pain doesn't rear it's ugly head around 2 in the a.m.!!!! Hope the Bextra does it's work. Off to try to get some more water in............

Walked Sunday night for 35 minutes.
Shoveled snow yesterday for 30 minutes.
Today we are having a blizzard, so, needless to say I am not walking tonight and letting dh do all the shoveling except where the guys delivering our mattress and bed need to walk - did that when I got home today. Dh has shoveled that part twice since I did it!!
I really need to get into a program that I can do when the weather is bad. I think I will get a Pilate's video.

Lots has happened since my last entry - 1/6/04!!!
On 1/14/04 I took the initiative and joined the Edge Training Center. I started water aerobics that night.
Thursday I went on my own and walked the pool for 45 minutes. Monday was class night again. Lost 1# since I weighed in on Thursday.
Thursday 1/15/04 - 206.75
Monday 1/19/04 - 205.75 HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!!!!!
Also feeling better about my lc.ing. I am back in the saddle again. Not that I wasn't lc.ing, but it was a struggle for a bit there. Now I am happy to do it again.

Class on Wednesday - weighed in at 205.5!! Lost a quarter of a pound, yeah!!!
I promised myself I wouldn't weigh myself everytime I go, but there the scale sits, and I am there alone in the locker room - and hey, I only have on my bathingsuit!!

Guess I had better start recording my weight each week in this log.
Went to the pool Fri. and worked out for 45minutes: walked for 20, and then did some leg and arm exercises.
Scale at the gym: 205.5 with suit on.
Saturday, 1/24/04: 206 on scale at home

fRIDAY AT GYM: 206#
SAT. AT HOME: 208#
Worked out on the treadmill on Friday - walked 15 min. and my knee didn't hurt anymore than normal during the night. I want to do the elliptical next week. Will try to get there earlier.
Also worked out in the pool for 30 minutes.
Mondays class felt really good. Wednesdays class wasn't as hard a work out. Jereanne didn't push us because she was tired. I worked at each exercise as hard as I could. I want this aerobics class to work for me!!!!!!

Weigh in at home on Sat: 207 1/2
Walked on the treadmill on Tues. for 20 minutes, and on Fri. for 25 minutes. A big disappointment that the pool was closed Fri. so I couldn't get some pool exercise in as well. Aerobics classes on Mon. and Wed. were fun. I did a lot of 'Tommies Tummy Busters' - we had so much fun both nights!!! We stayed later on Wed. and just did some fun things after class ended. I am glad to see that I am having fun as well as just working out for losing weight!!!
Will weigh tomorrow night and hope for a loss!!
Did get into some jeans I couldn't wear at Christmas. They are 18P, but are not the baggy fitting kind.

Haven't posted here in a few weeks.
Gained 1 1/2# two weeks in a row - 203# last Thurs.
Decided I can't walk on the treadmill anymore - too painful on my knee.
Weighed tonight at the gym - down to 201 3/4# - yea!
Sat. 3/13 measurements -
Waist 40 3/4 - down 3/4"
Hips - 46 1/4 - down 1/4"
Thighs - 26" each - stayed the same
Upperarm - 14"
Walked in the pool on Fri. for 1 hour and did some pool exercises.
Mon. walked in the pool for 50 min. and then did the aerobic workout for another hour and 10 min.
Tues. day off
Wed. walked in the pool for 50 min. and then did the aerobic workout for 60 min. Worked on the arms and the abdomen tonight.
Thurs. will try the recumbent bike for 30 min. and see how that feels on my knee.
Fri. will see how knee feels as to whether I will ride the bike again or just do pool exercises and walk.

Stats from Sat. 3/20/04:
waist: 39 - down 1 3/4"
hips: 45 - down 1 1/4"
thighs: 25 1/4 - down 3/4"
upper arm: 14" - stayed the same

Well, while I seem to have gained some again - 202 1/4# on Wednesday (+ 1/2#), my measurements make me very happy!!! I guess I need to watch my salt intake a bit more, and also I have been snitching some foods that I haven't been eating for awhile. Most of that is because I am not in control right now, and haven't been praying for the help I need. I am in a lot of pain with my knee and just plain arthur acting up!!!!
Go to see the ortho. man tomorrow - hope he is able to take this pain away!!!!!

Measurements for Sat. 3/27:
Waist: 38 1/2" - down 1/2" - down 3" since March 13th -Hips: 44 - down 1"
Thights: 25 - down 1/4"
Upper Arm: 13" - down 1" (finally!!)
Worked in the pool on Mon., Wed., and Fri. Water aerobic classes on Mon. and Wed. Walked the pool for 40 minutes before class and then 1 hour classes. Fri. did my own thing in the pool for one hour, focusing on my upper body.
Went to the Ortho. Dr. before I went and had my knee injected with a steroid shot. Hopefully it will give me a bit of relief from pain!!!!!
I am pleased with the loss of measurements. Don't understand why the scale is not going down (actually went up to 204 on Fri.) I am not paying attention to the scale for now!!! At least the measurements keep me going - I can't wait to get my waist whittled down!!!!!

Only measurement that was down was my upper arm: 12 1/2" - down 1/4"!!!
Weight was down 1/8# - down to 204 1/8# - My body just doesn't want to get under 200####.
Didn't workout on Weds. or Thurs. this week - have an UTI, and couldn't get into the pool. Worked out Mon. as usual, but then Fril. spent 1 hour and 20 minutes doing a very intense workout.
Have been getting into the sweets too much this week. Jodi brought a blueberry pie for Bill's b-day - had 3 pieces of that for dessert 3 nights. Need to get back to not having sweets!! Am doing super when it comes to the reg. dining.
