I admire you back, the way you stick on plan, I think a little thyroid would be of benefit to you. I know you do a LOT of research and you can find a dr that will help even holistic and naturopathic drs can be good with thyroid. They put a little less emphasis on numbers and more on symptoms.

I can't believe your boy was drinking bull! At boy scouts!

I do the horrible and drink diet coke as a reward when I get out of work and watch the news. I'm not helping myself. I like your habit idea. I went to the library and got a book, now I just have to find something with no caffeine to drink. I like bai drinks but they disappeared from the store I go to.

I looked for a holistic doctor as my Primary, but found only 3 more than an hour away. On the back burner-ish.

He is allowed to buy anything at the store; I was shocked they even carry such stuff. Can be deadly.

I like diet coke, too !! and drink it occasionally. BUT it must be the no-caffeine type later in the day. I usually have to ask my kids which one to get, as I can never remember---probably the gold label We buy at a gas station, with a huge soda bar. lol About 15 different sodas.

If I drink caffeinated, coffee, or soda, too late at night, Im toast. Up until the wee hours of the night. Im also noticing the lap top needs to be put down earlier.....

PS, the diet soda brings me pleasure. I enjoy it. For the up coming week I will drink more water for a while as the fake sugars can influence weight loss; AND it hurts the , read: kills, the microbes in the gut. The gut is the big serotonin making area, and I can guess that the right mix of microbes helps all those tissues in the GI function correctly.... and more serotonin helps with normalizing the GI area, and the brain: the feel happy hormone. Happy and serene.

Maybe working on replenishing the microbiome of the GI would help too?? Raw sauerkraut, kombucha ( use care, some alcohol, we do just an ounce at a time), kefir, again very small amounts, yogurt. Based on trying to make my own, the fat free plain has the most and the full fat greek type has the least.Of course the amount of carbs is more in fat free, and less in greek. lol Again, just some, not a full serving. The probiotic pills match one of these sources, I think the yogurt, otherwise each of these are different. I also use cultured buttermilk for variety of microbes. Start slow, and only 1/4 serving to start IMO.
