Thanks guys...

well cabbage is not bad at all, but with coleslaw it's best to make your own and NOT eat pre-made.

it may have all kinds of sugars in the dressing!

Default Joke!

You guys must be kidding me with the Cole Slaw at KFC. And here I tought I was doing a good thing better than fries or mash potatoes. I guess it would be ok if I up-ed my carbs to 25 at least I am within my limit. Right?

only if that's the only thing you consume throughout the day!

try making your own if you are a slaw addict.

i love it but have not made my own yet.

I found the following somewhere on the net - can't give credit cos I don't remember where!! Also, I don't have nutritional info for it yet. I am new to MasterCook and it takes me ages to add/import recipes at this point.

KFC COLE SLAW adapted for low carb

Chop Cabbage the size of rice kernels...very fine

8 cups finely chopped cabbage (about 1 head)
1/4 cup shredded carrot (1 medium carrot)
Artificial Sweetener to equal 1/3 cup granulated sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/4 cup cream
1 1/2 tablespoons white vinegar
2 1/2 tablespoons lemon juice

1. Be sure cabbage and carrots are chopped up into very
fine pieces (about the size of rice).

2. Combine the sweetener, salt, pepper, milk, mayonnaise, buttermilk, vinegar, and lemon juice in a large bowl and beat until
smooth.

3. Add the cabbage and carrots and mix well.

4. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.

Serves 10-12.

Yes, the deli coleslaw can be LOADED with sugar - a friend was in the restaurant business. It is better to make your own, then you know what's in it.

Default I buy the slaw mix

I don't use slaw dressing. I use ceasar instead, which is very good. We found a packaged slaw mix at the grocery store that made with shreaded broccoli . That is also a tasty mix. I never eat cole slaw from a restaurant or deli that has their own dressing on it.

Default Thanks for the responses

I just hope I didn't mess it up. I only had it once this week. A 1/2 cup, do you think will affect my weight loss this week?

What is L-cing?

Thanks for the feedback.

Besides LCing, you'll also see WOL (way of life) or WOE (way of eating) and TOM (time of month). Happy LCing!
