Stats: 150/148/132 Female 5'-4"

Progress: 11%

Default Husband's heart scan score

Drumroll please...........4.8!!! They said at Duke Diagnostics he had the heart of a 20 year old. So much for their statins! So much for the doctors that said "he was a heart attack looking for a place to happen!!!"

Wonder if they will still try to push STATINS on him???? Don't you all think this buys him quite a bit of time to work on his numbers??? PERHAPS???Wthout drugs that have horrible side effects?

Have a great weekend everyone!!!! SO glad I found you all here!!!

YAY!

Statins are intended for when diet and lifestyle modification fails. Any doctor who tries to prescribe these while he is making modifications and the numbers are coming down is a quack.

OH yes - had to tell you all that we have improved his HDL this month from 33 to 47!!!! More saturated fats plus his supplement regimen. Also, his cardiac CRP (C reactive protein test) is 0.58 out of a range of 0 to 3.00.

If this isn't proof that high cholesterol isn't always indicative of plaque or heart disease, I don't know what is.

However, his blood sugar is still too high even on low carb and metformin.
