another newbie!
I did the weight watchers diet last year and lost about 10 pounds. Within a year I gained that back and then some. A lot of it had to do with going out to dinner her and there not caring about what I ate. I got to my highest weight ever, 188 pounds, 16 pounds heavier than when I was 9 months pregnant with my daughter. I had to do something about it, so I bought The South Beach Diet book and started September 7th. Today is my 14th day on the diet and I have lost a total of 8 pounds. I did go off the diet for a day, only because I went to a dinner party this past Sunday and there was nothing for me to eat within my diet. So, I am going to continue with phase 1 for another week. I stumbed upon this site when I googled 'low carb diet'. I read a lot of great success stories and decided to join for the support. My goal is to lose 40 pounds in the next 6 months.
