Default Doctor Bosworth shares her mom's cancer journey, from 2018

The book is ANYWAY YOU CAN: Doctor Bosworth shares her mom's cancer journey. A Beginners Guide to Ketones for Life by Annette Bosworth M.D.

I didn't see this book anywhere on the site. It came out in 2018. The author also has a podcast. She changed her general medical practice to one that acknowledges the power of going against the Standard American Diet.

But it shouldn't be overlooked. It really is a fine guide for beginners. I especially like her explanations of how it works in the body. We've learned even more since 2018.

The other strength is how her mother's cancer battle got her into ketosis, in all senses of the word. The story she tells is simple and clear, and is especially pertinent to how her elderly mother rallied to experience improved health even under dire circumstances.

Her mother had a bunion surgery that turned into disaster when her bones were "too soft" for healing. Real food to the rescue. Sardines with the bones in, every day, led to a complete recovery.

I'm always on the lookout for books to recommend to people, and this is one I will keep in mind if someone is facing a similar crisis. It's also encouragement that we can work towards a healthy senior life.

No matter where we start from.

Thank you for posting this topic.

Curing cancer is not a popular subject if its diet based. Imho its the base of the pyramid of tools.

My mother has had melanoma cancer. Breast cancer two times and recently colon cancer. All drug treatments. No change in diet.

She cant hear me when I talk diet and ketosis and one day fasting. I stopped trying.

My focus now is me and my kids,: prevent cancer from growing. Eat a high quality diet. Dump the fake foods. Get Vit D. go without food now and then. Eat whole foods, not processed.

Love dr Boz, only found her recently. Now a follower on YT.

Another influence: A young CO also " cured" his mother via diet some years ago now. So Ive known for a while diet is the elephant in the room.

Will put book ony wish list.

Thank you

You are welcome. Now that my brain is working better, I'm reading books at my normal brisk pace. Catching up on the considerable research advances of the past few years. Glad to observe Dr Thomas Seigfried's message about the metabolic origins of the disease is being taken seriously somewhere.

Everywhere online regular people are talking about sugar addiction and low carb and processed food. It shows how far we have come in moving public knowledge and discourse.

People can demand real food. And they should.
