Question net carb sabotage?

I am completely confused, and just registered to find some help. I have finished the induction phase and began to add some net carb supplements to my diet and have not lost any more weight. It is very frustrating because I lost 13lbs. on the induction phase, and have only added minimal carbs per day via net carb products! Has anyone else had this problem? Could some of the net carbs throw me out of Ketosis? (I am no longer in Ketosis, and have only changed this one thing?????) If anyone has some advice or similar situation it would be greatly appreciated! Thanx!

You might want to post a daily menu, people here will be able to pull it apart and maybe find some hidden carbs or foods known to stall.

You aren't too far from goal. That in itself will slow you down. Almost everyone stalls for a bit after induction.

What ado you mean by net carb suppliments?

If you mean protien bars and sugar free candies, then those really slow alot of people down.

When I add in low carb chocolates. SF candy or even low carb bread, it stalls me. The good news is when I do lose all the weight i can eat those and not gain weight.

It's generally recommended when you move to OWL from Induction that you start increasing your daily carbs first with vegetables and dairy products (cheese, cream). Save the treats for later on, when your weight loss has stabilised at a steady rate.

Check out this article at atkins.com for more suggestions how to make the transition successfully .. How to Follow Phase 2.

It is so true........for some reason, low-carb products cause me to stall immediately. It makes no sense really, but as long as I keep to "pure" foods - I lose consistently. All of the products cause problems for me. Good luck to you! Orchid

I stall if I consume low carb bars, candy, or cheesecake or any other products that have sorbitol, lactitol, or maltitol in them on a daily basis. The Akins brand loaf bread in moderation of course (white, rye, or sourdough) does not pose a problem for me nor do products that contain sucralose and no sugar alcohols.

Me too! I can't have any artificial sugar of any kind.

Thank you all for replying!! What I meant by supplements were the atkins shakes and bars. Today I cut them out completely and hopefully will go back into ketosis. I guess I will have to go back to sugar free jello for my sweet treat! Thanks all and good luck!

Why don't you go over to the Kitchen section of this forum and look in the sweet treats section? I have found some REALLY yummy things over there. I made one thing just this week that tastes EXACTLY like warm brownies. Ohhh yum! I plan to put low carb ice cream over the top next time I eat it. (OK, if anyone is going to ask, I forgot to copy the name, and only have the recipe. I went back later to look for the name of it, and couldn't find it)
