Default can you tell me why???

I quit doing cardio almost 3 weeks ago due to shin splints. I was doing Shred by Jillian Michaels along with about 45 min on the treadmill mon-fri before the splints flared up .

I have continued to do the weight training portion of Shred along with doing some leg and butt exercises with 10 lb ankle weights mon-fri. I figured since I'm only using 10-5 lb weights it was a ok to do do 5 days in a row.

Ok here is my question...........Why on earth am I seeing a huge change in my body once I am not doing the cardio? The change is terrific but I am sure confused! I would have thought I'd see a bigger change with the cardio added. Any ideas?????????
I've been exercising since 2000 btw

did you notice huge changes in weight or look ;-)

The thing is not necessary to lose weight but to have a better look in the mirror. Doing too much cardio regarding your protein intake can just burn your muscles.... Stopping the cardio will stop cuttin the calories ( and so protein..) and make the program more efficient... you get the point ;-)

What you are saying makes sense. Thank you!!
I haven't been on a scale for a few weeks so I can't say if I have lost weight or not. However jeans I bought 4 weeks ago can now be pulled off without unbuttoning them so something is sure different.
