Cool Easy Meals?

Hi there...This is my first day on the Atkins plan and my first time here. My question is this....Can some one please give me some easy everyday things to eat...like I'll do the omlet thing all week long but what about lunch and dinner and snacks. I read all the receipes on Atkins site....but I just want to eat stuff that ppl have already tried then that way I'll stay notivated. I want to stick to my 20 carbs a day...so any help would be great. Congrats to everyone that has loss and that's still losing.....

I try and keep it easy,

Today baked pork chop and l cup of cut up cucumbers.

Basicaly any kind of meat, with your choice of green beans, lettuce, cucumbers, pickled okra.

I cook bacon over the weekend and wrap for each day. Grab that and two cheese sticks for breakfast.

I buy already made up, mushrooms stuffed with Fresh pork sausage ( its really cheap).

My favorite is the night before I grill chicken (or ground meat or steak) always use leftovers, put that on top of lettuce, with cheese, salsa and sour cream.

I bought me some small containers and a lunch bag and bring my stuff in that.

later you can incorporate some sugar free candies, atkins bars and shakes. ( use these in moderation).
As for snacks, Slim Jim, cheese sticks, Ham rolled up with cream cheese in the middle. Sugar free jello with cool whipp.,

Do you cook for Dinner? I always have a meat or seafood dish and 2 vegs or salda & veg for dinner-same thing for lunch-leftovers are my favorite! Or you can always have a big salad with protein, like ham or hard-boiled eggs, and cheese.

My favorite weight-loss snack is cheese-any hard cheese will do, some come in bags, already cubed! Hard-boiled eggs are yummy too, and I use 1/2 an Atkins bar with no ill effects. Meat of any kind can be used as a snack, so can string cheese.

Crystal,

First of all, welcome and congratulations on your decision. I would avoid Country Crock. Page 111 of Dr. Atkins book says butter is okay but margarine should be avoided as it contains harmful trans-fats. I know that Country Crock isn't margarine but at this early stage I would stick to what Dr. Atkins reccommends. Just my opinion.

Good luck and keep us posted.

Bob
