Day 23 of my "It's time to lose some weight" Challenge

... and it was a good OP day. It's funny. Me eating 'bad' these days is still pretty darn good by anybody's standards. Unlike what happens when cheating on carby junk, getting my diet back in line yesterday was easy-peasy. A day or two if eating just outside my boundaries did not put me into a bad place. Not that it was a good thing, but it certainly a better way to be bad than what I used to do.

Days at or under 20 carbs: 20
Days with good portion control: 21
Days avoiding my "Problem" LC foods: 21

Practice plan thru June 30.

Alternate Day Fasting - Monday, Wednesday and Friday (ADF M-W-F). Exception would be if I get sick, then I'll reconsider this idea. I'm aiming for hitting 3 days a week but, as this is practice, I don't expect to be perfect at first, or ever for that matter.

Tracking below. First line is days of week, lines below them are hits and misses for the days that week. I'll note if it was 24 or 36hr fast.

X = 24-36hr Fast

Eating yesterday was pretty good, ~200g protein - BHB and BG kind of weird but measured super early. Fast planned today. Good to get out on the water last night for a bit. Hope to get to grocery store today and paddle some.

1. On plan only. Doing well. Writing things down is working for me again, carrying a little notepad. There was a LOT on it today. No time for break today, but at the store, I ate my lunch in the parking lot.
1a. Limit alcohol 1 glass or equivalent (two half glasses) a week.

2. Exercise 5 days a week at least 20 min - "I may not have it in me this week." This proved true today.

3. 5 days a week - Clean something.!!! Have never been a good housekeeper, I have time for creating better habits.

Over shot the protein by a bit and right up around 20 carbs or so. Blood shugar 101 this morning at 5:30 so weird I might do an experiment and test BG again later in morning if around on eating and fasting days. BG was 77 yesterday afternoon with eating during the day. More fodder for my Dawn Phenom thread.

Liver makes some glucose to get ready for waking up and running away from tigers or hunting and gathering? Could also explain why I'm never really hungry at all after I sleep - BG is ramped up a bit. Fun stuff.

One more day refeed then into June - the last month of my practice period. Not sure what to plan after that July 1 - if I'm event still alive - you never know - I'm working on being ready to go at anytime

This is for yesterday: Got too late, too tired.

1. On plan only.
1a. Limit alcohol 1 glass or equivalent (two half glasses) a week. success for the week. Most days didn't have anything.

2. Exercise 5 days a week at least 20 min - This was kind of a planned week off... I am learning to navigate the lessened energy on work days and will see what I can do this coming week. (I think it's wearing the snug fitting mask 4 - 8 hours with few breaks in the day not wearing it... my body is working harder to breathe. I think that is why I am so wiped out at the end of the work day.)

3. 5 days a week - Clean something.!!! Have never been a good housekeeper, I have time for creating better habits.
