Default One more vegan girl need ideas!!Thanks in Advance.

Hi all
I am new to this forum .I am a vegetarian since birth .Only do dairy and cheese No EGG.

A friend of my introduced me to Atkins as she changed her life with the help of this diet .I have about 25 pounds to loose and to reach to prepego weight .I don't If I shud directly ask my questions or providing my stats is imp.
I am 5'3'' Female .Currently weigh 145 trying reach 120 lbs.

I am trying to start induction phase ,But I follow half day or till eve 7 oclock
and then can not follow it further becoz of lack of planning and information.


If I know the food items which I can eat ,I will make them ready for me whenever I get hungry I will look for them .Otherwise ,When I get very hungry I eat watever I have in the kitchen which is big wrong .

I need all expereinced advices.Plz help me here .

The type of food I like :

1) I do dairy But Not egg .

2)I can have whey protein in soy milk or almond milk or half and half.
Which milk is best ??

3) For the Fat intake I like nuts and seeds But don't which are the ones I can consume.I never tried Avocado .I am going to try soon .

4)I like to make Whole wheat tortillas .And dear frnd told me about lavash flat out bread .What can be more options?I read here Vital wheat gluten .But no idea what to do with that .

5)I like to stir fry all the veggies in butter or olive oil and I love them .That the one thing I have been doing .

6)For breakfast I tried to make Pancake out of Whey protein .Just added some water and baking soda in whey powder and made pancake But they tasted to me as I m eating omelet .Do you think so If I beat an egg in to that.
It will taste lil better .

7) How can I make TVP receipes .Can I mix them in cabbage .Or in any veggie.
Sorry for the long post .Thought If I post detail get more help.

Planning is so important for low carb veggies Glad you recognize this.

Sounds like you are looking for favorite meal and snack ideas?

Here are a few:

1. celery and all natural peanut butter

2. veggie burger in lettuce wrap with mayo (you can use soy mayo), mustard, dill pickle, roasted bell pepper, etc...

3. eggless "egg" salad (use fork to mash tofu, soy mayo, dill relish, salt and pepper

4. tofu scramble

5. Cheese, olive, veggy crudite plate with various dips

6. Stirfry

7. Tofurky kielbasa!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

8. veggies with spinach or artichoke heart dip (just sub vegan mayo)

9. greek yogurt with a few berries or nuts

10. cottage cheese

11. berries and heavy cream

12. Pumpkin Pie Smoothie- I use a half cup pumpkin, a little cream, a little splenda, cinnamon, ice and a bit of water.

13. Avocado smoothie (sounds weird but is amazing!)

Best of luck! I find the lower the carbs, the higher the fat, the better I do.

I started April 20th .2 days It took me to supress my appettite after going on low carb.I still cheated on first two days .So not counting those .So I started April 22nd at 147 .
And I was down to 139 on May 4th after 13 days.

3-4 days did low carb under 20 but cheated a lil bit .Still at 139 .
From today may 9th again serious ,Very serious .This time target is to see 129 .Let see how long it will take.
I will maintain induction or extended induction.

I take about 30 gms protein , under 20 carbs and fat .I never counted.
I eat just veggies Stir fried and protein powder.That's it .Way to go for me I guess.
