I'm semi new to this. I did it about three years ago. Lost some weight and gained it all back plus some. I'm glad I found this support site. Would any one be interested in being my buddy.?

I have been LC'ing since June 2002,,,,lost about fifty pounds so far..I stopped weighing in February,,got sick of obsessing over the scales.
I did this about 18 years ago,,lost about 60 pounds in 4 months,,,,but alas,,I am older now,,,it takes longer. But it works!!!
I am a 56 year old grandmother of 10,,,,but very young at heart!!
I have a hubby that is 16 years younger than I am,,so decided if I am gonna keep up with him,,I better do something about it!! He is my greatest support,..and has started buying my clothes for me. He has very good taste too, I might add!!
ANyway..I will be cheering you on,,,,,you can do it!! Just take one day at a time and stay committed!!!

Hi Garifuna & Musicmumma - can I come play to? LOL.
I've been on the diet for 5 weeks now, just cruising, couple of lbs. a week. I'm happy with that. Not interfering with my lifestyle (except for the red wine!!). Only problem is that I'm getting addicted to all the cheeses. Cripes, I love them. Found a "creamy" blue vein cheese other day - zero carbs. Oh boy!!
Anyway, will check in every so often. Nice to chat to ya all.
Bye the way Garifuna, husband & self will be in New York in October this year, am soo looking forward to it. Daughter getting married in the Greek Isles (Santorini Island), so we thought we would make a real trip of it. Also going to see New Orleans - and if anyone thinks I'm staying on a diet there, they have rocks in their heads!!

Thanks Amy, that's sweet of you. We will be in New Orleans late October, staying at a beautiful old renovated house on St. Charles Avenue. Really looking forward to it!
