I have veggies on what I call a near-condiment level. Like a 1/4 cup of coleslaw, or 1/2 cup of chopped salad, is now a meal portion. It adds a level of satiety, as well as a carrier for high fat dressings.

But that’s about it. All my other vegetables are botanical fruits; like tomato, avocado, and cucumber.

I’ve found the whole concept of snacking is now alien to me: a big satisfying meal, then not eating for hours; much more satisfying whether I’m eating, or not

Sometimes it's amazing how different we all are.

Grazing works better for me. It keeps me out of the "starvation mode" where my body slows down to conserve food -- I guess -- as I lose and keep more weight off that way.

I don't eat any big meals. But my caloric intake is less than 16kc per day.

Yes, we are quite different, because I lost lots of weight on far more calories than that

I'm blessed/cursed with my family metabolism. I'm the only one lighter than 300 pounds.

The up side is that if we have a famine, I can get along with less food

When I first started LCHF, then Atkins induction a little later, one of my worries was what was I going to eat when I worked the election coming up (there's always one coming up lol - 15 hr days). I brainstormed and thought up a LC brown bag after asking here in a separate thread. Got some great ideas like hb eggs, nuts, jerkey, etc. FF to today and I just fast - do my IF for the week. Absolutely doable. Water only is icing on the cake. Cake and pie (piece of cake, easy as pie).

I found that salty green tea with coconut oil will take me through a few days of no food

I don't often snack now, but when I do.....

-avocado chunks drizzled with italian dressing - if I have some cherry tomatoes I will slice some and add. Salad without the lettuce. This is often my dinner with a whole avocado.....love, love, love. You can add feta or goat cheese but I find it takes away from the flavor of the avocado.

-nuts, seeds, - love salty sunflower seeds in the shell - just got to watch how many you eat

-cheese chunks - (+you can melt grated cheese for cheese crisps - on a hot skillet they fry right up) I am never without several kinds of cheese

-sliced red bell peppers and sliced cucumbers plain - or dipped in sour cream french onion dip

pepperoni slices, sliced deli meat with mustard if desired - can add cheese...I like a slice of cheese topped with a pepperoni and a dab of mustard

hard boiled eggs - plain or deviled

-Love a good slice of dill pickle - and the juice which I sometimes drink -can't wait to try to dip in sour cream

-Boars Head makes a little snack pack with sliced cheese and sliced salami that I used buy to keep at work. Now I'm retired I don't do this but it helped to have at work when the hungry's hit

-Carbmaster yogurt from Kroger- at 5 carbs it is pretty good if you like yogurt

I would rather snack than eat meals some times and I do.....I like small amounts of stuff

I basically like things that don't require a lot of preparation - something quick
