There are a lot of good looking recipes on these sites, but keep in mind that not all are low carb:

There's additional information at the Atkins site, including nutritional info. storing tips and some quick ideas for how to cook it. The cooking tips also include roasting and sauteeing it, using olive oil for much needed fat.

Post I grill mine...

I brush asparagus with olive oil and sprinkle a little seasoning on...

and throw it on the upper level of my outdoor grill while I'm grilling meats. It's very good...

You can also lightly sprinkle them in olive oil and pinch of salt. Place on baking dish and bake at 450 degrees for approximately 7-10 minutes depending on how you desire the crispness of it. It is splendid this way.

Fry in a bit of olive oil until they start to brown. Squirt lemon juice over them and sprinkle with fresh parmesan cheese.

Default cooking asparagus

Asparagus is also delicious if you steam it for about 10-15 mins.

It remains a nice green color if you cook it this way - it also stays crunchy.

I steam it, then add a good dollop of hollandaise or home made mayonnaise .... or sometimes just some olive oil and salt and pepper ...

Default roasted asparagus

I love asparagus, eat it at least once a week, have tried at least 20 different recipes for it, and I think the tastiest and easiest way to do it is to roast it:

Preheat oven to 400F
Snap off the woody ends (just bend until it breaks at its natural point) of 1 bunch asparagus.
Peel stalks if you like.
Lay out asparagus in a single layer on a shallow foil-covered baking pan.
Drizzle 2 tbsp or so olive oil over asparagus (flavored olive oils are great here, try lemon-basil or red-pepper)
Salt and pepper asparagus to taste (I use about 1 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp pepper)
Using your fingers, roll asparagus around on the pan until all spears are evenly coated with oil and salt/pepper
Roast for about 15 minutes at 400, until asparagus is fragrant and has a golden-brown crust.
Every five minutes, shake the pan or use a fork to roll the asparagus around. Make sure it stays in a single layer!

Depending on the size of your bunch of asparagus, this is about 4 servings of 8 spears each (but we've been known to eat the whole thing between the two of us ). Per 8-spear serving, it's 3.2 g after fiber.

Why cook them at all? They taste amazingly great raw - dip in a little ranch dressing if you want to...
Just get the skinnyest ones you can find - otherwise the thick ones are a little woody...

Default Steamed is excellent!

I love to steam if until just barely crunchy....place in a covered dish in microwave and cover with monterey jack or parmeasean cheese......Wow, the cheese just brings out the flavor!
