--Wearing shorts and short skirts ... in public!
--Trying on clothes in stores and putting them back on the rack because they're TOO BIG!!!
--Walking for3-4 hours at a time without anything hurting!

I'm not sure 1 and 2 count as "activities." I probably could do more in the way of sports than I could before, but I still hate them!

I'm not a very physical person (not coordinated enough ) but I thought of something....

I can now walk into a room full of people and hold my head high, make eye contact with people, and smile instead of looking down at my feet, not looking anyone in the eye, and running to the nearest chair so I can sit down and not be noticed. I WANT people to see me now - and I WANT people to ask me how I lost weight.

I love this thread......

I can hike for hours without feeling like I'm having heart failure.

I can date without feeling desperate.

I can cross my legs at will.

I can do any household chore without getting winded/tired.

I can shop in the regular size section. I love this - today, I bought some beautiful lingerie for the first time in my life from the regular-sized racks at a very high-end store. I was a little worried when I headed into the dressing room to try stuff on - but it all fit. I'm smaller than I think I am, and getting smaller still.

I can attend any social situation or dinner without feeling like a ravening beast bellying up to the table. I have dignity and poise that I never had when heavy, especially in my relationship with food.

I can walk into any room any where and not feel like I have to somehow, some way, make excuses for who I am. I am simply me. Not 'the fat chick' or some other such crazy label. Just me.

I am finally free to love and value myself. Couldn't do that 100 pounds ago either....
