My name is Peadar and I live in the south part of Dublin.
I hope that I can be a encouraging contributor to this site.

I'm not new to low carbing, but seeing as I was turning fourty this August, and with a wife and two children with one on the way(baby not wife), I thought it was time to stop messing and get with the program.

I've been on Atkin's since the start of July and have lost about a stone and maybe more. I'll be weighed in tomorrow at my doctors and then the weight management clinic on Thursday at Loughlinstown, so I'll keep posted.

That's about it.

I notice you are from BC. I'm from Toronto originally.

Living in Ireland and you in BC, we both know what it is to have our share of rain. Right?

I hope the low carb awareness grows here as not many are fully aware of it, yet I'll still keep plugging away. That way I'll become a walking billboard as a result of weight loss and then I can share low carb with more people.
