Default What Did You Cook For Memorial Day

What Did You Cook For MEMORIAL DAY?

We smoked a large brisket, cooked a pot of fresh green beans with chopped onions, 1 minced garlic and butter. I had 4 small Yams left so I decided to boiled those and mashed them with Kerry Gold butter.

I love the color combinations of the green and orange veggies.

If I had my druthers I would have also made some marinated cucumbers. I love the Ying and Yang of the vinegar of the cucumbers with the fatty brisket...

Yum that sounds good, Thud.
Cabbage with pork is such comfort food!!

Now I've got cabbage in my head and I do have 1/2 of a huge head that I've been chiseling off. Plus lots of extra cooked bacon with lots of fat...hmmmm
