Hi everyone,

are there any Geordies or other folk from the North East around here who would enjoy a little LC forum gatehring in the North East? I´ll be moving to Newcastle in September and virtually don´t know ANYONE there.

Just curious...I´d go and and if some others would enjoy a little meeting, too.

I enjoy reading your posts and would love to get to know you and the others personally. Tried to pm you, but they won´t let me (too few posts, I wonder?).

WE-ELL...I am actually considering moving to Sunderland or somehwere else near Newcastle, too. I will work as an assistant teacher in the inner city, and my school is finding me a place to stay. Their last assistant had a monthly rent of 230 GP for a single room. Jeez...this is by far extends what I would be prepared to pay for a room in the long run. Can you tell me anything about housing prices around Newcastle? Where would you look for some other place to stay if you were me?

You could get a 2 bedroom flat for about 375 and split the costs with a flatmate. Flat are available much cheaper too. It all depends on the area. You really need to come here and sort it out. Newcastle is a really swinging city. You'll love it!

I live about 8 miles north of Newcastle. You should really enjoy the north east, as Robert says, it's a great place. Newcastle made the top 10 of world party cities!! I'm not sure if tjhat's good or bad
