Default question about spaghetti squash

Hi there...I was using fitday.com and came up with 1 cup spaghetti squash equals 10 grams carbs. Is that right??????

You need to subtract the 2 grams of fiber. ECC is 8 grams per cup. It can be incorporated into ongoing weight loss, but is a little harder to fit in your daily carb count if you are trying to stay under 20 grams. However, a cup of spaghetti squash is a large serving. It is quite filling and if you are using it as a side dish, half a cup may be plenty.

Thanks for such a quick response! 8 seems better....10 was scaring me! I could probabl scale back on the amount...but dang it ...it tastes so good!!! And sweet!!! :-)

Is there a way on fitday to minus the fiber grams???

I am sure there is, but I don't know how. I don't use Fitday. I clicked on the carbohydrate counter to the right of this page (which I do use) and searched for squash. (I tried searching for spaghetti squash, but that didn't work, so I had to page down through all the different types of squash.) Once you find what you are looking for on the carb counter, click on the number of carbs and you can switch from metric measurements to cups.
