O carbs- question for the experts-supplements
Ok you super experienced LCers..Here is a stump the star question..
I find that with 20 gm carb I must have at least 3 gm NaCl plus Slow Mag (mag Ch) 3 times a day- usually 7am/4pm/ 10pm ** or I get terrible leg cramps and feel week and achey..
Sooooooo..
if I do really go to 0 or almost no carbs.. Do I need to up that Na and Mag?
if so, what suggested dose , please and thanks
Any other caveats to share?? Danka
** as per advice Volek and Phinney: Art and Science of Low Carb. Living (2011) A&S of Low Carb. Performance (2012) great books btw
Are you drinking enough water? I find that I need at least 2 gallons a day, part of this is unsweetened home brew tea and I am keeping it way under 20 carbs. I only take potassium once or twice a week unless my water intake drops. If you have oil and vinegar salad dressing this would help too.

Wow! I have been drinking a little over a half gallon: 10-12 glasses..
but I do live in South Fl and the temp is rarely under 75.. usually 85 +..
and I do live on the beach -- where I tend to the sea turtles for ~ 6 hr/week in the sun..
sooooooooo duh Loggerhead!!
This sounds like a great idea.. Thanks
Yes, I seem to lavish vinegar and olive oil on just about everything. it is great!
