Default Cinnamon side effects?

started taking Gymnema Sylvestre about one month ago but just recently added Cinammon capsules as recommended by my endo. Well since that time I have had the worst GI problems. I am taking 1000 mg Cinnamon - 4 tablets a day and two Gymnema Sylvestre a day. I really think I am taking too many Cinnamon tabs - has anyone else had this problem? Really want to stay on these supplements (maybe not the high dose of cinnamon) I was on Metformin and had these same GI complaints also worried about long-term effect of that med. Appreciate any feedback!

That seems like very little cinnamon to cause any trouble... (1000mg = 1g = a fifth of a teaspoon)... Is it a concentrated form of cinnamon?

I really don't know - I stopped taking it yesterday and my stomach feels much better - I also one of those sensitive stomachs who cannot take Metformin either!

Some cinnamon supplements have been adulterated with chromium picolinate which can cause problems.
