Talking I'm eating pizza!!

Not being totally satisfied with the deep dish quiche pizza, I needed something that would solve my REAL pizza cravings!

I made the CarbSense pizza crust tonight, and made a couple of pizzas. Each box makes 2 - 12" pizzas. With 6 slices per pizza, each slice contains 7g of carbs, with 4g of fiber, for a total of 3g of net carbs!! Also, each slice has 18g of protein, so these slices are nice and filling!

When I was making it, the dough didn't smell too good. Lots of spices and when I added the water to the mix, the smell intensified. Don't let this scare you off! The crust is delicious once it's baked! It's heavier than traditional crust, but I think it's a good thing because you can't eat as much.

I'd definitely recommend this for people who miss pizza. I've been on Atkins for only 4 weeks now, and I was afraid my days of real pizza were over. Well, now my problems are over!

I ordered the crust mix from www.lowcarbfooddepot.ca

Thanks for the info. I miss pizza for sure. Maybe I can find some of this at the low carb mall today.

I had to toss it after I made some. Taste was terrible, texture was terrible.

THis is the third time I have made pizza with the mix. It is something you have to get use to. i actually had to add more water than what it called for. I also kneaded the dough with my super duper mixer. I also let it rise for over an hour, cut it in 1/2 and rolled it out. The rolling out part, and just the whole dough was so much better, then if you followed the directions.I then baked it on my pizza stone. I think the best way is trial and error. We love end result. My dh who isn't lc, loves it too.

Keep me posted on what you think about it. I like it myself.
