For the past two or three days, I've had a funny taste on the left side of my tongue. I notice it most when I'm fasting. Yesterday I had a spoonful of coconut oil and it seemed to go away for a while.

I hesitate to call it a metallic taste. It's sort of almost sweet, maybe a little bitter. Mostly along the left edge where my tongue touches my back teeth.

I've heard of a metallic taste coming from copper overload, but I've never heard of it only appearing on one side. Any ideas?

A sweet/sour/bitter taste is common when you are in ketosis.

Maybe a filling is breaking down? Tooth problem?
