I'm glad this thread got ressurected - wish I had read it earlier!
I have long-time "habit" of low fat - I even learned to like skim milk and low-fat cottage cheese.
So my taste buds just haven't adjusted - I really don't like greasy food - tho a good fatty steak is delicious! And I do like butter. A while back I started taking a big spoonful of coconut oil with my morning coffee and found out I do like cream - but it wasn't enough. I've been losing very slowly. So now I'm upping my coconut oil to 3 or 4 times a day. It's easier for me to just swallow a spoonful of oil at a time rather than try to fatten up my meals.
