Welp, I made it to 344lbs! A little ahead of schedule so I'll add another 5 lbs to my challenge. I'd like to weigh 340lbs by St Patrick's Day!

Good luck to everyone!

Is your hubby on Atkins aswell?

I wish it were untrue. My old scale was like 10+ years old and weighed me within a 15lb range. I was weighing 3 x and taking the average. The new scale weighs me consistently. Plus I went to the DR on wed and got weighed on 2 different scales-- a double beam and a wheel-chair scale (looks like a small freight scale). Both weights matched my new home scale within 1 lb.

"sighs"

I made my challenge though! I added 5 more lbs to it, as well,

*cheers*

Best luck to you!

I'm in the USA and I have to work on St. Patty's day. I work in a daycare in the Nursery (1 year to 18 months old babies) with my 22 year old daughter, and we're planning on having a party with the babies. We're going to buy whipped cream and color it green and let them play in it on the trays of their high chairs. We'll take pictures and make a poster to hang outside the door of the Nursery. Then in the evening, DH, myself, daughter and her finacee will go out for dinner. Our family always celebrate on St. Patty's day, growning up with my father who was VERY Irish, has passed the tradition down to my and I celebrate it with my family.

5 pounds in a week bit much, but considering I fell off the wagon for 3 weeks I don't feel so bad.

i do think 5 in 1 week is a bit much but i think you've done really well anyway so i wouldn't beat myself up about it if i were you. just the fact that you're back on the wagon is accomplishment enough

Hey all,

I got back to Dublin on sunday and nearly had a heart attack when I stepped on the scales on monday morning => 80kg!!! Couldnt believe it, but in Germany i was just sitting around all day long and lovely restaurants in the evening - and the food was sooo great - so cant really blame anybody but myself. BAck on Atkins since this morning though and happy because I know I'm going to be back down to pre-Germany weight pretty soon!!

But completely failed the Paddy's Day challenge though... ah well, can't achieve everything ;-)

How are ye all getting along???

Hi Gerrie,

vodka with diet coke is what I normally go for. vodka has no carbs so its quite handy. But still a good number of calories though...

Depending on how long your pub crawl is, you could always alternate water / vodka / water / vodka / etc...

Is curves carb restricted or more based on calories?? I read the book ages ago, but cant really remember..

This is to Gerri, I have the Curves book. I'm located in the USA and I don't know if I missed the red wine issue. I have to admit that I haven't read the book exactly through, I've skipped a bunch and reread a bunch, I know that is a bad thing, but can you explain to me about the red wine on Phase 1? Thank you in advance.

Rebecca in the USA but Irish at heart (and OMG, IN MY BLOOD)
