OK, breaking out the iPhone to see what Map My Walk says. I went for a walk and came home, fell asleep. I am some kind of stranger to myself lately.

1.48 miles, 16.08 minutes per mile (12/29/2016) >19.44>19.11>16.08
3100 steps

That's a lot more steps than on days I don't walk!! I probably get 300 in a regular day lately.

Which reminds me of a post I read once (on another site): this lady was ready to have a baby any day and posted a screenshot of her pedometer app, asking "Who wants to be my walking buddy?"

The screenshot showed 31 steps for the day. She had only gotten out of bed to go to the bathroom, twice. I know I'm not supposed to laugh...but...

Hello! I am posting to say I walked an hour in the neighborhood today! And was glad I covered the lantana bed and little palm out front because we did get a frost last night - low 34! I love it, winter is still keeping me sane for a little while longer.

I get what you mean by winter keeping you sane. Same here. But it's going to be 80 here today.

I walked Feb. 27, .97 miles. Forgot to to turn off MapMyWalk after glancing at my miles. It recorded me driving around running errands for the next 3 hours. haha

Feb 28, I walked longer, but messed up MapMyWalk and it showed I walked .1 miles in 13 seconds. lol. I'm losing it.

No walk or workout today. I worked in a garden bed: weeding, digging, mixing soil, trimming plants, planting stuff I have been rooting in water, for about 5 hours (well, including watering another bed and weeding the front yard.) I was just worn out between that and running around to 4 grocery stores. I threw in a Dollar Store run just for fun.

half hour walk before sunrise today. Ya, trying to keep the depression at bay with the coming heat...it'll hit 80 and above this week, but we have a few nice days yet...last night I had the windows open for the first time in awhile...needed both fans too. Of course cooking all day doesn't help...

Sunday: walking around the desert, taking pictures
Monday: worked in the garden, seated
Tuesday: walking around the desert, taking pictures
Wednesday: walking in local meadow
Thursday: walking at beach and a bird-watching preserve

None of this walking was at a sustained fast pace or anything.

Tomorrow is more yard work and the next morning I go to my cousin's and will be spending the night. Planning to do a little walking/hiking in a couple of local parks.

I am hoping your walking inspires me to squeeze some in...my life is about to get crazy, starting my second job but I need to exercise, I know my body loves it and I lose faster, and it will improve my health. just finding the time and energy...

I love that you are walking in some pretty sounding places...I look for streets that seem nicer here and make a mental note to go back for a walk...

Well we didn't make it out to hike.

We went to the visitor's center at the hiking place though! lol. It was very interesting - history of the place where we grew up - especially him. The next day we went to Balboa Park and walked through the Japanese Friendship Garden which was right down my alley and big fun for me. Ha. I'm such a senior.

Yesterday: Walked a total of a mile or two, and took 2 steep, long stairways that left me huffing and puffing.

Today: Sad day. Found remnants of the 2 baby birds (that had been nested in a hanging plant) in 2 separate areas of the yard, followed by an endodontist appointment that didn't go so well. I might post about it later. No exercise today.

Self-soothed with food, will try to regroup tomorrow.

Wow, I haven't posted here for a month. I've taken maybe 2 walks. It is no longer too cold, and not yet too hot, so most of my efforts go to the landscape and flower beds.

Today: 1.58 miles
44 minutes!! I am so out of walking-shape. Looking above, I haven't done my in-home exercises in TWO months. Ugh.
