Default Raw Garlic..!! Upset Stomach, some advice..

2 days ago after I ate my dinner I develop this stomach bloated with pain, and haven’t been able to recover from it since then. At the beginning I thought it was some Fiber I had at the end of that meal (Flaxseeds) but all yesterday I didn’t eat any fiber at all and my stomach was still bloated, full and heavy. The only other thing I added to my diet out of the ordinary was Raw Garlic and a lot more pepper as condiments for my salad.

The Raw Garlic felt like very intense while eating it, I have been doing it twice a day (2 cloves on each of my salads), and even do they felt intense I thought they where very therapeutic for me so I didn’t suspend them until today.

It seems I am not able to digest well anything, this morning I had 1 egg with veggies fry on 1tsp of coconut oil and ohhh god I didn’t digested well it took 2 hrs to start feeling better after eating, I did the same thing for lunch (as I am hungry).

I don’t have a clue what to eat? Any suggestions? My old mind normally says no-fats, no citric, no pepper to aggravate the stomach, but I wanted any of your tips here..

Hi cucu

I have had an "interesting" digestive system all my life, a kind of irritable bowel syndrome with mysterious pains and bloating that comes and goes. What really helps me is to take a dessert spoon of psyllium husk stirred into a glass of water with a squeeze of lemon. It turns into a 'gel' that settles the stomach and cleans out the whole digestive tract. It's like one of those street sweeping machines with the rotating brushes!
You can buy flavoured psyllium concoctions from the chemist but just using the pure natural stuff is a third of the cost!

It may help you

Cheers,

Thanks Michael,
I think I will just take it easy tomorrow, it could be just something I also ate that is not getting better as I am eating a lot of fat and it feels is aggravating the situation.. I might do only steam veggies tomorrow and low fat meat like fish (I am going to miss the fat and feel more hungry do)…
Thanks cucu

that's happened to me as well since my stomach has a way of its own. the next meal i had that made my stomach and body feel great was this:
a piece of salmon fillet fried in coconut oil, seasoned with lemon and pepper.
lots of spinach fried in oil with a dash of lemon and seasonings.
a couple of stalks of celery, sliced.

the celery really helps my stomach and satisfies something for me. ya never know, but good luck!

i had lots of garlic last night at this great thai restaraunt, so i'm suffering a bit as well this morning

hugs!

I am beginning to suspect it might be the “coconut oil”… I will do without for a day and then see how I do, as that night I develop the pain, I had a lot of coconut oil, fry my meat on it and took the water/fat left on the pan to cover my meat with eat.. I might have over do it in a moment where I am just adjusting to more fat into my diet.

If you've got a sensitive stomach, you might want to cut back on all the frying and trying poaching, grilling, broiling, baking, steaming, boiling--something that doesn't isn't quite so... destructive to the food you're trying to cook.

Also, one thing that is exceedingly recent, evolutionarily speaking, is the whole concept of following someone else's dietary recommendations. Our ancestors ate what was available, and if they had a choice, they ate what was most appealing at the moment. I'm not advocating instincto, but it's good to recognize that if you really pay attention to what you really want to eat (or not eat) at the moment--assuming you've been off highly refined/concentrated stuff long enough to get clear... signals--you'll probably be pretty on target most of the time.

I'm not saying it's not good to ask for advise and feedback--that's actually really good... I'm just saying to trust your "gut" feelings and what you should eat/not eat until you feel better and then go by process of elimination to determine what set this off to begin with.

just mho
