Hi fellow BC peeps! I'm in Maple Ridge, but I'd love to come to the island one of these days to meet some of you, maybe this summer?

I have a fast question, I've noticed that you go to Red Robin. We have one in town, but I've never been. Do they have some decent low-carb menu choices?

Lots of good burger selections (and they wrapped ours in lettuce for us last night, no problem). I had the Guac Bacon, pretty darn good and very messy

PS I used to live in Maple Ridge near Extra Foods many years ago....

Extra Foods is on strike right now, they have been since mid-December. I really miss it, Save On and Safeway are SO expensive, and the Superstore's a bit of a hike. (Extra employees haven't had a contract since '04, I hope they don't close the store!)

That's too bad Sherry- it was the cheapest (yellow) food around! Hope it all works out.

I wish myself and my lady could make it down from Kelowna. When we move to Vancouver you better believe we'll be hitting up the Victoria gatherings.

I like Kelowna - was there for Regatta a few years ago and did some wine tours. I stayed in an awesome B&B with a wine theme as well.

Nothing on my calendar on the 7th so far, so I'm in.

I live in Langley so its a bit far but maybe I'll make a trip of it if you guys do another meeting this summer.

Any and all of you would be more than welcome! We try to meet once a month for either supper or lunch and if we hear someone from out of town is going to be here, we do our best to manage a meal while they're here! Just let us know a couple of weeks ahead if you can.

I grew up in Surrey and we used to do most of our shopping in Cloverdale and Langley. I also used to roller-skate in Langley every week, back in the dark ages when they still had a roller rink!
