Unhappy This has probably been asked previously

I posted this question somewhere else and then I found this section--I looked thru all the threads and couldn't find this basic question so please if you could lend some help...

How do you create a recipe--I've tried multiple permutations and still cannot get it to work. I enter my ingredients and number of serving sizes and press calculate but nothing happens--it has the recipe but no breakdown of carbs, protein, etc.

I just started using this because I've been eating waaayyyy to many calories than a 5'5 woman should so I though this would be a good way to try and rein myself in a bit (alot ).

Thanks for all your help and your patience!!

Lisa

Hi Lisa,

Do you mean you have actually entered the recipe? Because if you have, just entering that recipe in your Daily Entry will give you the nutritional breakdown.

Try going to "Food Lists" and thence to "My Recipes," where, if the recipe has been entered, you will also see a breakdown of carbs, cals etc.

If you have been unable to actually enter the recipe, I'll see if I can talk you through it.

Thanks Rosebud for getting back to me so quickly.

I must not have entered the recipe correctly--it says chicken curry but there are no breakdown for the ingredients--operator error I'm sure--I'm such a dufus when it comes to computers.
It would probably be best to walk me thru from beginning to end

Hi Lisa,

Okay, matey, here is Recipe Entering 101. I'll make this as simple as I can, so forgive me if it seems too simple.

First, click on New Recipe at the left hand side of MyPLAN. Next, enter the name of the recipe, and number and type of servings. Then click on create recipe. That brings up the place where you can enter the recipe ingredients.
Once you have entered all ingredients, along with recipe instructions if you wish, enter the correct amounts then click on update servings.

Your recipe is now complete, and you can see the full counts there.

Recipes are automatically added to "Favourites." You can also find all your recipes by clicking on "Food Lists" at the left hand side, then clicking on "My Recipes" at the top.

HTH! Please let me know if you are still confused. I know it took me ages to figure this all out, so please don't feel bad that you didn't work it out instantly.

Roz

Thumbs up Thanks from the bottom of my heart!!

Rosebud--Thank you so much for the "Recipe Entering 101" Your instructions were great--too bad all instructions couldn't be so clear. (although it does take a bit of fanangling ) but, I would expect that since I am totally computer illiterate. Thanks again!!
