Default Coconut oil problems

I have recently incorporated coconut oil into my diet. This morning I put 1 tbsp in my coffee with 2 tbsp of HWC, and consumed 1.5 oz of almonds.

within an hour my feet were numb, and felt puffy. No pain just puffy like I was retaining water.

Could I be eating too much fat without protien?

Has anyone had any problems with coconut oil?

Thanks.

Well, I have never experienced it myself.

Does sound like you were retaining water.

Retaining water could be an allergic reaction, or it could be the liver and/or kidney is having difficulty processing it.

Here is a thread I found in this forum talking about same thing...

Thanks for the help. I realized that I drank about six ounces of water yesterday.
I ate a veggie omelet with cheese and felt great. I ate tuna and that feeling is back.
I have been eating a lot of tuna in mayo. I wonder if it is something in the mayo?

Or something in the tuna? it is recommended that we not eat canned tuna very often because of mercury content. I'd cut out the tuna and see if if it disappears.

Not drinking much water can also result in fluid retention.
