That sounds so difficult.
I have never used a meal service, but most week nights my husband and I are on different work schedules.
Here are some staples for minimal effort nights-
Omelets (i never get.tired of a big cheesy omelet with veggies, I often have a side salad with it).
Precooked chicken sausages- I waited them with bell pepper. Dinner is ready in 8 minutes or so.
Precooked chicken meatballs- I heat these with low sugar marinara and minced garlic, and broccoli slaw. Top with parm.
Premade burgers- too with cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickles, avocado......
Frozen shrimp- sautee with pre cut stirfry veg, soy sauce, sesame oil, crushed red pepper and garlic. You can toss in sesame seeds or cashews, too.
Using pre cut veg is still way cheaper than meal delivery and makes cooking a ten minute job.
