Friday's work for me too.
As far as places to go...
My list of restaurants with LC friendly menus is pretty limited. As long as I can get a caesar with grilled chicken, I'm pretty happy.

Hi everyone - I'm looking forward to our outing!! I work in the Yonge/Sheppard area, but anywhere on the subway line is good for me. I have had wings at the Frog and Firkin and they were pretty good (deep fried, no breading). There are other Firkin restaurants in the city - one at Yonge & Eglinton and one around the Rosedale Subway station. I haven't been to these ones, but I imagine that the menu would be the same.

Or we could do Greek, Mexican... I read somewhere that Pickle Barrel has a low carb menu but I don't know if that's convenient for everyone. I took a quick look at the menu on the website and some of the items have 30 - 40 grams of carb??? Here is the link:

http://www.picklebarrel.ca/pickleba...wcarbs_menu.pdf

I can usually find something at any restaurant, so I'm easy (but not cheap!!)

Feb. 6th is fine with me.

Looking forward to meeting everyone.

Michele

Hi,

I am in Queen's Park and being that I don't live in Toronto and haven't been in Canada long have no idea where would be good - so I will leave it up to you!

Feb 6th is good for me too.

I am getting hungrier by the minute!!!!

How about the Quail and Firkin, at 1055 Yonge Street, near Rosedale subway? I have been there a few times in the summer (mostly to drink beer) but it is friendly and the food has been pretty good.

They have chicken caesar salads, and lots of other salads, too, and of course, wings. Don't remember what else...

I called but forgot to ask about parking, but I have parked on the side streets around there before. Because it's rush hour, there may not be parking on Yonge.

Which time is best... 5 pm, 5:30 pm or 6 pm? I don't work that day (yippie) so any time is good for me.

You can visit www.firkinpubs.com if you need more info.

ANd YES, it's brilliant to make the reservation under "Atkins!"

Feedback, please...

Mary

That's great. I should finish work around 4:00. So anytime after 4:30 would be good for me.

Itty - they have low carb beer...

See you soon.

So, I will call and make reservations for 430 pm, Friday Feb 6 under Atkins

At the Quail and Firkin Pub, 1055 Yonge Street (toronto, duh) near Rosedale station.

I will be bringing some pictures of me pre-Atkins, and some info from the papers, etc. Don't feel obligated to bring anything but yourself and your form of money (I don't think Canadian Tire Money is accepted! )

So we have:

Rice_boi
Michele-67
Iklemiss
Itty
Glassgirl
Digitalgrl

And maybe Miss Vikki (we'll keep a chicken wing warm for you!! )

Rice_boi, I can imagine you running around in this tropical-for -Toronto-in-January weather! If you don't already know, Rosedale is one of the richest areas in town, so have a slow cruise on the side streets and gawk at the multi-million dollar homes (don't get lost!)

See everyone Friday around 430!

Mary
