Red face Please tell me....

I have been on Atkins induction (like "on again" ) for almost four weeks.

I have started back and the gym and forgot how much I really LOVE it.

I am discouraged in reading the exercise threads in other forums about how it never helped aide in the weight loss. I mean, I guess I am not doing it JUST for the weight loss. I am hoping it'll help.

I guess what I am looking for is some encouragement that I am doing good for my BODY, MIND and Weightloss!

Thanks...

I do it to keep myself strong! Try to look at it that it's good for you even if it doesn't accelerate weight loss--which I'm sure it does help...even a little. Good for your metabolism, good for your muscles, good for your bones...good for YOU.

What??? Excercise never helped in weight loss?

Look , you are doing Atkins(no comments, you all know what I mean)so that is a huge part of your weight loss journey. but excercise is going to speed up your weight loss

and a Elle stated, look at all the extra benefits

Plus remember ,metabolism is based on how much muscle you have.

So keep on working out..just make sure you are challenging yourself and getting out of your comfort zone!

That is the hardest part for me...making sure I work hard enough to "feel it." I don't want to be dead tired afterward...I have 3 young children to care for. But I like to feel just a little energizing shaky-tiredness that let's me know I've "done a little something."
