Default portion control idea that works for me!

Being one to eat too quickly, I mean TOO QUICKLY...
I accidentally discovered this trick to make food on my plate simply last longer, henceforth I feel like I ate more than I did:

In the workroom all the regular sized forks were MIA. No spoons were available either. The only "silverware" left was a tiny fork - the kind you'd use to pick up a bread & butter pickle from a serving dish.

So, I grabbed it (thinking I really shouldn't use my fingers to eat an omelet) and low and behold it took me a LONG time to eat that omelet with such a tiny fork!

I could have easily put away an omelet twice the size with a regular fork, simply because I could fit so much more on my plate. But with the little one...I feel like I ate just as much.

I now also know that my trigger for feeling "full" is way off kilter since the small serving truly did fill me up...but with a bigger fork I would have done double.

Little things that make a difference!

Hi,
I wonder if cutting the food in real small pieces and setting your fork or spoon down between each bite would work also?
I don't think I have one of those small forks.
