First time I tried Atkins I stopped for 2 weeks because of the eggs. Now I have them part of the time and part of the time I have other things. Yesterday I had Taco meat with cheese, green onion and sourcream. Yummy stuff. I hardly ever have my eggs plain. This morning I scrambled them with ham and green onion and sprinkled cheese over it all. Another yummy. I find the mixes are hard on my budget, too, and I don't really care for them so I try to find other things to have for breakfast.

Default same problem-hate eggs and have no time

so, i've settled for cheese blocks. They are portable, not messy and allowed in induction. i was soooo unsatisfied the first time i tried induction with the cheese blocks but as the routine set in , things got a lot better!

i tried: crustless quiche made ahead and microwaved - yuck watery (no breadcrumbs to "bind it")

tried: yogurt (a no no on induction, but if it kept me going on atkins what the heck) - caused me to stall

tried: salmon & cream cheese: just to rich & salty for me in the morning

so, 2 oz hard cheese blocks in a little baggie at work behind my computer it is. (plus you get the bonus "nibble effect" I love to nibble!

theres a very long post about atkins friendly danish things (cream cheese & eggs or something)...if you can find it its in a breakfast post.

nix
